About the student accommodation

This new student accommodation has a completely unique location on the University West's campus area in the middle of the city centre. You live close to a large selection of restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops and entertainment such as cinema, bowling and various kinds of sports. You have a few minutes' walk to Trollhättan's canal and river, and to the city's famous waterfall and boat lock area. A few minutes' walk takes you to the Travel Center where you can travel by train or bus to Gothenburg and many other nearby cities.

The apartments

The student accommodation on campus is a modern and newly renovated corridor accommodation with 35 apartments of approx. 10-16 sqm. Your apartment consists of a furnished bedroom equipped with a bed, bedside table, desk, desk chair and storage cupboard. The apartments are bright with white walls and dark gray linoleum carpet.

Common areas

Kitchen, bathroom, wc and shower are available on each floor and are shared by all students on each floor. The shared kitchens are fully equipped with crockery and equipment for cooking as well as a fridge, freezer, microwave, stove and dishwasher. On the 2nd floor there is a common living room and two bookable laundry rooms that all students in the building have access to. In the common living room there is a sofa, coffee table and TV screen.

Cleaning equipment is available to borrow and you are responsible, together with the other students, for cleaning both your own apartment and common areas when you have used them.

A social and active student life

If you are looking for an active and social student life you will have a blast! In the common living room you can hang out with your neighbours and in the Student Union's premises in the building you can take part in the union's various activities.

About the building

The student accommodation is located in an older house with a special cultural-historical value which means that external changes must not distort the original character of the house. Therefore, the transition from care facilities to student apartments has been done carefully and without changing the building's exterior. On the facade along Drottninggatan, windows have been replaced. The new windows are designed similar to the original windows in appearance and size, but meet today's regulatory requirements. The windows are side-hung with central posts, slats, external profiles and copper sheeting.

Rent

Heating, electricity, hot and cold water and internet (100Mbit) is included in the rent. The rent is paid one month in advance.
